Kate Middleton and Prince William Just Walked Down the Aisle Again at Their Wedding Venue

Kate Middleton and Prince William paid a visit to a new COVID-19 vaccination center at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, March 23. If you forget, that venue actually holds significance for the couple: It’s where they tied the knot back in 2011.

You no doubt remember the iconic images of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walking down the aisle, looking gorgeous and regal. Here’s one just as a reminder:

Now, get this: The couple low-key re-created these images at their March 23 engagement. Yes, they were masked, and no, Middleton wasn’t wearing her wedding gown, but they did walk down the aisle again side by side. Also, Middleton wore white—a nod to her royal wedding, perhaps? I’m kidding. She probably just thought the ensemble was chic (which it is).

It hasn’t exactly been a quiet few weeks for Kate Middleton and Prince William. The royal family is under a pretty harsh microscope in light of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. During the chat Prince Harry said of his brother, “I love William to bits. He’s my brother; we’ve been through hell together and have a shared experience. But we are on different paths.”

One of the most talked-about tidbits from the interview was Markle revealing there were “concerns and conversations” about Archie’s skin tone while she was pregnant.

“We are very much not a racist family,” the Duke of Cambridge told a Sky News reporter on March 11, according to People, after being asked that question directly. At the time, he said he hadn’t spoken to Prince Harry—but Gayle King, Winfrey’s best friend, gave an update a few days later. “Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father too,” she said. “The word I was given was those conversations were not productive. But they are glad that they have at least started a conversation.”
