The glamour, the scandal, the intrigue, it’s all there. So, for those who just need to get their celeb fix, there’s E!, a satellite TV network dedicated to everything entertainment. They dish out the latest daily news and celebrity inside information in a ‘fun, irreverent tone’.
The Soup
This is a weekly series, which focuses on what’s happened in the world of entertainment that week. You’ll get a series of recap clips from various television shows. The Soup is hosted by Joel McHale who specializes in sarcastic, cutting commentary. Regular features include Chat Stew which features clips from talk shows like Oprah, Dr. Phil, and other satellite TV staples; Chicks, Man focuses on starlets, such La Lohan and one Ms. Spears.
E! News
This is the show to get your nightly celeb gossip. E! News features stirring and sordid stories about your famous Hollywood personalities. Discover whose new sports star lover is cheating on her, whose surgery scars are visible in HD, and much much more. The show is currently hosted by the one and only Ryan Seacrest with Giuliana Rancic.
Chelsea Lately
This is a late night comedy chat show hosted by Chelsea Handler, whose sarcasm and with drive the show’s popularity. The comedienne along with her fellow guest commentators sit around a table and talk about celebrity goings and comings. Chelsea also interviews celebrity guests and there are occasionally musical performances on the show.
E! True Hollywood Story
Count this as a sort of docudrama expose of celebrity lives. The show retells salacious Hollywood secrets, scandals within the biz, celebrity mysteries and murders, porn stars and former child stars. You get in depth interviews, court room footage, and stirring reenactments. Episodes run for either one or two hours depending on the nature of that episode’s theme.
Sunset Tan
Sunset Tan follows the lives of the managers and employees of a tanning salon in Vegas. We watch as the employees battle it out for better positions and salaries. There’s lots of infighting and partying. Plus, given the location and the business, we get to see lots of celebrities including Britney Spears, Jenna Jameson, Mario Lopez, and Pauly Shore. Ok, so you probably won’t see these second rate has been rocking your HD screen anytime soon, but it is fun to see what they’ve been up to.
101 Series
In this show E! lists the 101 most important aspects of entertainment, such as public gaffes, celebrity love stories, celebrity slim downs, celebrity meltdowns, and much more.
Live from the Red Carpet
This show gives you a front row view of the infamous red carpet. Premieres, award shows and the like are presented here. You can watch all the glitz and glamour from the comfort of your home.
